Orbelia is a family winery in the village of Kolarovo, Petrich Municipality. Its vineyards near Mitinovo and Starchevo bring together international grapes and an unusually rich collection of indigenous varieties associated with the Melnik region.
Orbelia has developed a profile in which local grape varieties play a central role. The winery is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Independent Winegrowers and Winemakers and offers organised tasting programmes for visitors.
Land and vineyards
The winery reports more than 200 decares of vineyards around Mitinovo and Starchevo near Petrich. The soils include cinnamon forest, alluvial and alluvial-meadow types.
