KAPATOVO Family Estate 1992
A family agricultural estate near Melnik whose vineyards combine the character of the Struma Valley with a rich selection of Mediterranean and southern European varieties.
KAPATOVO Family Estate 1992 is a family agricultural estate with vineyards around Kapatovo and Zornitsa, close to Melnik. The project combines an agricultural tradition with a deliberate choice of varieties suited to the warm character of the Struma Valley.
The estate began in 1992. In 2006, a terroir study involving the French nursery Pépinières Guillaume influenced the subsequent selection of grape varieties planted in the vineyards.
Land and vineyards
The estate reports more than 1,200 decares of agricultural land and 270 decares of vineyards. White varieties include Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc; red varieties include Syrah, Marselan, Petit Verdot, Primitivo, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan.
