Bogdaya Vineyard Estate is a family wine estate near the village of Smochevo at the foot of the Rila Mountains. Its position at around 600 metres above sea level sets it apart from the warmer southern parts of the Struma Valley.

The vineyards were planted in 2017 and present the project as a family winery focused on the cooler character of its site and varieties suited to higher elevations.

Land and vineyards

The vineyards cover approximately 10 hectares, or about 100 decares, at around 600 metres above sea level. Principal varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Tamianka, while Pinot Noir is visibly represented in the estate's wine portfolio.
