A Taste of Tradition
AYA Estate Vineyards is a contemporary wine estate in the Harsovo area, at the heart of the Melnik wine landscape. The estate combines indigenous Melnik grapes with Mediterranean and Rhône varieties and develops wine as part of a broader experience of place.
Parts of the vineyards are more than 50 years old. The estate states that it works according to biodynamic principles.
Land and vineyards
The vineyards lie at approximately 250 to 330 metres above sea level and are predominantly south-facing. The terroir is described as continental-Mediterranean, with sandy soils, substantial limestone, low humus and marked day-to-night temperature differences.
